ovayuva
Tester changelog
Unfinished software for adult testers. The map and Android download are public; website participation requires a community invitation. Bugs, incomplete coverage and data loss are possible. Update Android without uninstalling or clearing app data.
1.6.1
In development - not released
- ovayuva has its own home at ovayuva.tr, with a landing page, world map and Android download page.
- The next signed Android APK will be available without an invitation once release checks pass. Community sign-up, posting and voting still require an invited account.
- The new API is live at api.ovayuva.tr. The next app update will use it. Existing objects, accounts, rewards and ownership remain in the same database.
- Existing website users can save their sign-in key on Caleidoscode and sign in on the new map. New invitations lead to ovayuva.tr.
Update without uninstalling or clearing app data. Browser sign-in does not transfer automatically between domains. The old API remains available for existing app versions. Genuine-device checks still apply; this remains an unfinished tester app.
1.6.0
Private tester release - 19 September 2026
- mesaji is now ovayuva. Update in place: your account, ownership and private progress keep their existing identifiers.
- Hand-drawn toolbar icons, envelopes, items and creatures use the supplied artwork. Both maps show the same object designs.
- Helping an eligible object from another player earns a cosmetic point. Daily, one-time and shared service limits apply.
- Six creature designs unlock at 3, 6, 12, 20, 35 and 50 points. Existing creature colors and item designs remain available.
- Settings > Profile shows your collection and point rules in English, German, Turkish or French.
Points have no cash value and do not prove a physical visit. Private GPS history and adventure progress stay on-device. Timed events, collectible maps and presents are not enabled. The new domain is not active yet; current Caleidoscode links remain in use.
1.5.0
Private tester release - 19 September 2026
- Android follows your device language, with English, German, Turkish and French available in Settings > Profile.
- The official starting story is available in all four languages. Real place names and user messages are not translated.
- Choose an adventure, preview it and track it. The compass reopens your tracked story. Switching or untracking keeps private progress.
- A gently pulsing search area marks the next stop without giving away its exact point. Completion becomes available when you arrive.
- A simpler adventure screen with one Back button, no notebook form and no repeated provider details. Credits and map dates remain in About & Legal.
- Journal and Profile are separate Settings destinations. Journal activity and vote-hidden message labels are clearer.
- Settings has a nearby place-reporting list and a dismissible location-information dialog.
- Map markers show only objects. Author avatars appear in the object list and detail view.
- The community map has an Android download shortcut and a clearer administrator invitation entry.
Adventures still depend on suitable mapped places and walking connections. Search areas are clues, not proof of safe access. Map snapshots can be up to 45 days old. Private progress stays on this phone.
1.4.0
Private tester release - 19 September 2026
- A full-screen map website with phone layouts, discussions, suggestions, polls and moderation.
- Clearly labelled website place messages, separate from objects placed through the Android app.
- Invitation-based tester accounts, administrator and moderator controls, data export and account deletion.
- Saved sign-in key replacement, session revocation and recovery from interrupted requests.
- Votes and reports, with separate community-hide and moderator-removal controls.
- Android filters for website contributions and community-hidden messages.
- A quiet adventure compass replaces the top banner. Area checks are automatic. Recenter restores street-level zoom.
- Android account credentials encrypted using the device Keystore.
- Neighbourhood walking snapshots are reused across players. Adventures show the actual map data date and expire after 45 days.
- A bundled first-use privacy notice and company details in English and Turkish.
- A path-recording suggestion and a name-change poll. These are proposals, not released features.
Adventure coverage depends on suitable mapped walking connections and distinct named places. Map data cannot confirm present access or safety. New-area preparation has daily resource limits. Registration starts invitation-only; the operator controls access.
1.3.1
Private tester release - 18 September 2026
- Map provider links moved to Settings > About, with a brief plain startup credit.
- Starting-adventure requests also run beside ordinary player notes.
- Failed reads retry with increasing delays and a fixed limit. Recovery pauses when the view closes or the app goes into the background.
- Posts, transfers and account deletion are not repeated automatically.
This release improves requests and the interface. It does not resolve all adventure source-data gaps.
1.3.0
Private tester release - 18 September 2026
- Caleidoscode became the shared-game backend for notes, objects and creatures.
- Existing accounts retain ownership through a protected identity handoff. Older Firebase versions are read-only; old Firebase records were not deleted.
- Map-first play and local passport progress remain. Existing contributors receive a small keepsake.
Map data does not prove safe or lawful access. Respect closures and private property.
Tester limits
Private passport data and GPS history stay on-device. Limited community records and shared game data are stored on Caleidoscode. Map providers receive network metadata and requested areas. Do not publish personal or sensitive information. There are no server or private passport backups. Do not use ovayuva for emergencies or important records. Official material is AI-assisted and may contain errors; user contributions are labelled separately. Tester status does not remove applicable legal rights.
